Ceredan Brooks
Lateral Perceptionist
"Life's too short to waste time being negative."
Memorist, author, explorer, fisherman, diplomat-at-large
Home: Mist Ward 21, Plot 59
At a Glance
Six fulms three ilms tall, and muscular; can be mistaken for a Highlander in passing, but definitely Midlander in face and proportions.
Smile is flawless and unironic. Conventionally handsome.
Appears to be in his young 20's.
Bright green eyes, hair has a slight reddish tinge in sunlight.
The lenses of his spectacles are plain glass, lacking the "warp" of corrective lenses.
Very energetic and alert. Coffee might be a bad idea.
Odd accent; his words seem to be formed toward the front of his mouth, and he pronounces the final "r" in words rather crisply. Still comprehensible, but certainly foreign.
Rumors
He seems quite adept with any weapon he picks up.
Speculation abounds as to why he calls his axe "Gertrude". Some say it was his mother's name; others, a former lover. Obviously, his perennial response of "Because I picked it up and the name Gertrude just popped into my head" is just a deflection.
He speaks quite a few languages: Eorzean Common, some stripe of Allag, and something that sounds suspiciously like Old Bozjan. He also seems to understand more than he lets on...
He's traveling the world and is writing several books all at once.
He's probably a dragon. Or a primal. Or a dragon primal. From Garlemald. Nobody this nice could possibly be for real. He must be up to no good.
Every so often, someone claims to have seen him somewhere he's never been--but he always has an alibi...
Many Pictures, Handle It!
Obligatory OOC
I actually did write--and am still writing--Ceredan's books. You can see them for yourself at The Memorist's Path.
I prefer to keep away from "adult" content in RP; there are things you should never learn about your friends.
Ceredan smokes a pipe occasionally--usually when he's trying to cope with runaway thoughts. This is not an endorsement of tobacco use; it's simply the in-game culture. Don't smoke in real life, kids.
I'm a staccato-style roleplayer; I prefer to hit enter after every sentence or action. I figure turns shouldn't be more than a couple seconds long, like IRL, so I try to inject as many opportunities to interrupt, interject, or simply respond as possible. You're in this RP, too!
